Dawgs Don't Share RXs
Realize that the law takes prescription medication use seriously.
Do not share your prescriptions or borrow prescription medications from others. Prescription medications are prescribed by a medical provider to specific patients for specific reasons at specific doses for specific amounts of time. As long as you stay in those parameters you can legally use a prescription medication.
However, it is illegal to:
- Use prescription medications without a prescription from a licensed medical provider
- Share your medication with family or friends, even if they have the same condition or a prescription for the same medication
- Use someone else’s medication
- Alter or forge a prescription
- Use more than prescribed
- Use the medication for reasons other than what the medication was prescribed for
- Carry the medication outside of the original container
- Use the medication after the prescription has expired
If you have any questions about the legal use of prescription medications, call the UHC Pharmacy 706-542-9979.
